Rome has two major airports: Rome’s main airport, Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport (commonly known as Rome-Fiumicino airport), and the smaller Rome-Ciampino airport. Rome-Fiumicino Airport is situated about 25km southwest of the city centre. It is Italy’s largest airport and has four terminals: terminal A for domestic flights, terminal B for flights inside the Schengen territory, and terminal C and the new terminal 5 for all other international flights. Rome-Ciampino airport is situated about 15 km southeast of the city and handles mainly charter flights and budget airlines like RyanAir.
